Julie Balter is an attorney, admitted to practice law in the state of Maryland, who enjoys bringing her communication and legal experience to support the communities she represents. Currently, Julie serves as a Specialist of Provider Networks for the National Association of Community Health Centers (NACHC) where she liaises with state-level affiliates on accountable care efforts. Prior to NACHC, Julie served as a Writer/Editor for the Smithsonian Institution’s Office of Regents.
Julie completed her Juris Doctorate at American University, Washington College of Law where she worked for the United States Attorney’s Office for the District of New Jersey and the Montgomery County State’s Attorney’s Office. She received her undergraduate degree from the George Washington University with a major in Communication and minors in Statistics and Organizational Sciences. As an undergraduate, Julie served as President of the Student Association, where she advocated on behalf of more than 20,000 students.
