Dr. Julia Skapik currently serves as the medical director for the National Association of Community Health Centers (NACHC). Prior to her current position, she worked as a physician within the Inova Health System and was the chief health information officer for Cognitive Medical Systems, Inc.

Dr. Skapik also contributed as the senior medical informatics officer for the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services. In this position she led efforts for the quality improvement standards and participated in international standards development.

She is a graduate of the New College of Florida. She received her master of public health in Epidemiology and Biostatistics and medical degree from the Johns Hopkins University.
