Brogan serves as the healthcare and program management intern for GTMRx. She is currently finishing her bachelor’s of science in public health at American University with plans to graduate in May 2022. She is also currently pursuing her master’s in health promotion management at American University and intends to complete her degree in May of 2023.

While studying at American University, Brogan worked as an administrative intern at One Tent Health (OTH), a DC-based nonprofit which provides free HIV and COVID-19 testing in high-risk communities. She worked directly with the programs lead of OTH to ensure testing events ran smoothly and co-authored the monthly newsletter which discussed relevant HIV/AIDS news around the world as well as OTH news and volunteer training information. Brogan also worked as a health and safety ambassador at American University’s COVID-19 testing center where she assisted staff and students during testing procedures to ensure proper administration of the test.

Her decision to pursue public health came from her academic and personal interest in the opioid epidemic, community health, and harm reduction strategies, which grew to encompass a passion for health promotion as well as she continued her studies. She is excited to further her knowledge about program management and health systems at GTMRx.
