Izzy serves as the operations manager. She received her master’s in public health focused in health policy from the Milken Institute School of Public Health at George Washington. Prior, she graduated from the University of Georgia, where she obtained a bachelor’s of science in biology and a minor in global health.
Before working at the GTMRx Institute, Izzy worked in a microbiology research lab at the University of Georgia. There she wrote her own protocol, presented her research at conferences, and created a plasmid toolkit to be used universally in the toxoplasma research community. Subsequent to that, she worked at Argos Health, where she processed hospital liens and handled insurance claims.
Since moving to the District of Columbia, Izzy has worked at the Eurasia Center, where she has researched and written about international relations and health disparities that affect Eurasian countries. In her free time, Izzy has attended health policy summits and committee hearings, campaigned for a candidate running for Virginia State Senator, and canvassed for DC Healthlink in order to spread awareness of insurance open enrollment. Izzy hopes to offer a unique perspective to the GTMRx Institute team with her background in biology and public health.
